When last did you actually look at your Will? If the answer is "I can't remember”, it's time for a review. Life changes: relationships change, assets change, and the people you want to leave things to may change too. Your Will should always reflect your current wishes, not the ones you had 10 years ago.

One of the most important steps you can take for your family is documenting your medical wishes before you're no longer able to communicate them. A Living Will tells your doctors and loved ones exactly what treatment you do, or don’t, want, lifting an enormous burden from their shoulders during an already difficult time. Getting your documents in order is one of the most loving and responsible things you can do for your family.

Planning for a time when you may not be able to speak for yourself, comes down to having the right legal documents in place. But which documents do you actually need? A good starting point includes:

✅ A valid Will
✅ A General Power of Attorney
✅ A Living Will (also called an Advance Directive)
✅ A Healthcare Proxy or Mandate.

Each one serves a different purpose and together, they ensure your wishes are respected no matter what.
