Ward 57 Mandela Day Outreach

As part of the Mandela Day programme, Ward 57 Councillor Cllr Boyana, accompanied by the Ward Office and community structures, visited elderly care centres across the ward to honour and support senior citizens.
The following centres were visited:
* Bekithemba Service Centre
* Emthunzini Service Centre
* Owethu Service Centre
During the visits, the Councillor handed over fleece blankets to the elderly as a gesture of care and support during the winter season.
To ensure that everyone remained refreshed and hydrated throughout the day’s activities, refreshments and bottled water were also provided.
The visits created an opportunity to engage with the elderly, acknowledge their contribution to the community, and reaffirm the Ward Office’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups.
Ward 57 extends its sincere appreciation to the management, staff, volunteers and community structures who contributed to the success of the Mandela Day outreach programme.
