Witsand Kalahari Nature Reserve Facility Manager, Mr John Martiens, formed part of the NCEDA Staff Engagement hosted at the Mittah Seperepere International Convention Centre, where the MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Ms. Venus Blennies-Magage, addressed staff and formally introduced the newly appointed NCEDA CEO, Mr Shawn Thabang Modise.
During the engagement, the MEC reaffirmed the important role that NCEDA continues to play in driving economic development, investment promotion and catalytic projects across the Northern Cape. She further highlighted the importance of good governance, accountability and collaborative leadership in ensuring sustainable growth and meaningful development for the people of the province.
The engagement also served as a reminder that institutions are strengthened by the people who contribute towards their growth and success, including tourism facilities such as Witsand Kalahari Nature Reserve, which continue to showcase the unique tourism potential of the Northern Cape.
