🤝 Diplomatic Courtesy Call at the South Sudan Embassy in South Africa

Today, the Head of Mission, Ambassador Simon Deng Akook, warmly received H.E. Adam Isak Ali, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to South Africa, who paid a courtesy call at the Embassy of South Sudan.

The two heads of mission held a highly productive meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding regional cooperation. Their conversation centered on sharing ideas to work closer together for the mutual benefit of both nations within the East African Community (EAC).

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation:

Ambassador Simon Deng Akook Meets with Director for Humanitarian Affairs at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCo).

Today, South Sudan Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, Amb. Simon Deng Akook, held a productive meeting with Ms Sicel'mpilo Shange-Buthane, Director for Humanitarian Affairs at DIRCO.

The meeting focused on exploring strategic pathways and mechanisms through which South Africa can extend key humanitarian and development assistance to South Sudan, further reinforcing the strong, collaborative ties and solidarity between the two nations.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Bulelwa Kiva, the Chief Director for Eastern Africa and Horn of Africa.

The Embassy of South Sudan today joined the national commemoration of the historic 1956 Women's March at a packed Union Buildings venue.
