Operation Siyahlola || Today, the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Sihle Zikalala, conducted an Operation Siyahlola oversight visit to the uMlazi Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal.

He was accompanied by the Deputy Director-General for Construction Project Management (CPM), Ms Luyanda Kafile, as well as the Durban Regional Office project team led by Regional Manager, Nkosi Vilakazi. Representing the eThekwini Municipality Mayor was Councillor Ntando Khuzwayo.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister inspected the uMlazi Magistrate’s Court precinct, which comprises existing court facilities and newly constructed modern courtrooms. The project, which experienced delays during implementation, has now reached 90% completion.

Once finalised, the upgraded facility will be handed over to the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD), strengthening access to quality justice infrastructure and enhancing service delivery for the people of uMlazi and surrounding communities.
