In South Africa, an estimated 150,000 children are living with HIV, yet 1 in 3 are not receiving the treatment they need.

Without urgent intervention, too many young lives remain at risk.

Sisters Andiswa and Anelisiwe, from rural KwaZulu-Natal, know this reality firsthand.

Although they were on HIV treatment, they were not virally suppressed, placing their health and future at risk.

With support from UNICEF, they now have access to the care, treatment, and adherence support they need.

Today, both girls are virally suppressed and understand the importance of lifelong treatment, giving them the opportunity to thrive and pursue their dreams.

Together, we can ensure that every child living with HIV has the support they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

From rivalry to friendship, and from the rugby field to a shared purpose. 🇿🇦🇳🇿

UNICEF South Africa was honoured to co-host an inspiring talk with the New Zealand High Commission in South Africa in Cape Town, celebrating rugby legends Tendai Mtawarira and Dan Carter.

South Africa and New Zealand share a deep history, a fierce sporting rivalry and, above all, a spirit of respect, resilience and unity.

That shared spirit came together for something bigger than sport: standing united for every child. 💙

A special thank you to the City of Cape Town and the Mayor for being such a beautiful host city, and to everyone who came out to support and back our cause. Together, we can be champions for children.

Be on the winning team for children. Join us today: https://bit.ly/3RzJESL
