*BUSINESS ROBBERY SHOOTING*

*Incident report:
SVTA-EMS responded to a armed business robbery in Pretoria gardens.

Upon arrival our crews found a 40 Year-old male employee that had sustained a gunshot wound during the business robbery.

Due to the severity of the injury the decision was made to activate Netcare911's HEMS to transport the patient to a specialized trauma facility in Johannesburg.

The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services.

🚑🚒 *SUCCESS REPORT* 🚒🚑

*Time*: 09:15
*Location/Area*: Doornpoort
*Dispatched to*: 15 Y/O Male Not breathing
*On Arrival*: On route to the emergency our EOC (Emergency Operations Center) informed the crew that CPR has began on the patient, Our crews quickly got to the scene within minutes. The crew along side with Etienne van Rooyen took over the patient and successfully resuscitated him. The decision was made to take the patient to the closest appropriate facility, on the way to the facility the patient was closely monitored, upon arrival at the hospital, the decision was made to intubate the patient for further advance life support.
*Level Of Care/Priority: P1 ILS
*HEMS Service Activated*: NA
*Mechanism of Injury*: Cardiac arrest
