This past Saturday 28 March, we had an amazing time celebrating Francophonie together! 🎉

From laughter-filled games 🎲, delicious food 🍴, and vibrant fashion 👗 to joyful moments shared by kids and families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦—the day was full of energy, culture, and connection. 💛
A big thank you to our wonderful partners from the French-speaking embassies and Alliance Française and Lycée Français Jules Verne in Pretoria for making this event so special 🤝🌍

On an official visit to Namibia, Swiss Ambassador H.E. Mirko Manzoni met with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Namibia, Hon. Ericah Shafudah, to discuss the increasing investment of Swiss companies in Namibia’s growing economy.

Moreover, Ambassador Manzoni held productive discussions with the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority in preparation for the upcoming inauguration of a new direct flight route between Zurich and Windhoek. A meeting with the Ministry of International Relations and Trade also provided an opportunity to reaffirm and strengthen the excellent existing relationships between Switzerland and Namibia.

✨ Francophonie month is coming to Cape Town! – Events in March✨

In March, let’s celebrate together the richness of Francophone cultures through a series of events organized by the Consulate General of Belgium, Consulat Général de France au Cap - French Consulate General in Cape Town, Switzerland in South Africa, Wallonie-Bruxelles International and Alliance Française du Cap.

Exhibitions, cinema, literature, gastronomy, meetings, and activities for all ages — there will be something for everyone! 🌍

An evening of humorous improvisation with the troupe “Les Improbables”, where the audience’s ideas become scenes on stage.
