In Loving Memory of Maria Mathibela

It has been a very difficult month at GN:SPD as we continue to mourn the loss of cherished members of our family.

On 17 June 2026, we also said goodbye to our beloved cook, Maria Mathibela, who faithfully served Little ABLE's Children's Sanctuary (LACS) for more than 20 years. Maria was part of the LACS family from the very day the care center opened, and her unwavering dedication touched the lives of everyone she served.

Maria lovingly prepared meals with great care and precision, always ensuring that the unique nutritional needs of our special children were met. Her compassion, commitment, and gentle spirit made her an invaluable member of our team.

Maria's kindness and faithful service have left a lasting legacy. She will be dearly missed by the children whose lives she enriched, as well as by every colleague and friend who had the privilege of serving alongside her over the years.

We are deeply grateful for the many years of love, care, and devotion that Maria gave so selflessly. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Rest in peace, dear Maria. Your faithful service and loving heart will never be forgotten.

In Loving Memory of Rona Theron

Our hearts are deeply broken by the passing of our beloved Rona Theron on the 7th of June 2026, who lived and shared her life with us for many years at the Nonyane ILC at GN:SPD.

Rona was one of the bravest women we ever had the privilege of knowing. She faced every challenge with remarkable courage, determination, and grace. Her love of learning and her unwavering spirit inspired everyone around her and will continue to inspire us for many years to come.

Whenever we see a sunflower—your favourite flower—we will remember you with love and gratitude. Like a sunflower, you showed us that beauty, strength, and hope can flourish wherever they are planted, even in the most difficult and challenging places.

Your legacy of courage, kindness, and perseverance will remain in our hearts forever. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, dear Rona. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts.
