On Saturday I spent the day at Pallet Farmstall capturing what matters most to me as a storyteller photographer — real moments.

The laughter behind the counter 😍
Kids fishing barefoot by the water.
Ponies stealing snacks.
Sunlight on fruit stands.
Families slowing down long enough to simply be together 💙

That’s the kind of photography I love creating.
Not staged perfection.
Stories. Atmosphere. Emotion. Connection.

I love people, storytelling, and creating content that feels real. I’m down-to-earth, easy to work with, and my superpower is making people feel comfortable in front of the camera 🤍

This is what I do — I walk around quietly, capturing the atmosphere, details, people, food, and those natural moments happening in between… often without you even noticing me there.

I’m now offering social media content creation for businesses, restaurants, venues, coffee shops, and brands that need fresh, authentic content for their online presence.

To all my new followers — and especially the ones who have stood by me for years — thank you. ❤️

For those who don’t know me yet… I’m Marethe. A storyteller with a camera in my hand and a heart that notices the little things most people miss.

I’ve been doing photography for 22 years now, and after all this time, I still believe the most powerful images are the ones that make people feel something.

My dream has never only been to take beautiful photos.
It’s been to tell real stories.
To capture emotion, connection, strength, love, healing, personality, and moments people will treasure forever.

I dream of photographing people in breathtaking locations around the world one day — creating art that feels cinematic, emotional, and deeply alive. ✨

Being nominated for Best of Pretoria for the second year in a row means a lot - thank you, my home city. Not because of titles or recognition… but because it reminds me that people trust me with their memories. And that is something I will never take for granted.

I’ve learned that talent means very little without kindness, humility, and heart.

This special 50th birthday was held at Maison De Leo - Rietondale - Pretoria — a space that felt like it was made for soft moments, laughter, and love.

There is something incredibly sacred about capturing women in their fullness… not just how they look, but how they feel in a moment like this.
