Kilo Delta On Call responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on the Moloto Road near the Krokodilspruit Shooting Range on Tuesday evening.

Upon arrival on scene, multiple injured patients were found and immediate assistance was rendered. Despite the severe storm and heavy rain that broke out during the incident, our volunteers worked tirelessly and relentlessly to care for the injured and ensure that all patients received the necessary medical attention.

Patients were assessed and treated on scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities where necessary. Traffic flow was significantly affected due to the incident and adverse weather conditions. At Kilo Delta-On-Call, we are often asked why we do not share every incident we attend on our page.

The simple answer is this: not every story is ours to tell.

Every day, we respond to a wide range of emergencies within our community β€” from motor vehicle accidents and medical emergencies, to private calls for assistance at homes, trauma support, and situations where people are at their most vulnerable. These moments often involve real pain, fear, and deeply personal circumstances. Out of respect for those we serve, we choose not to turn their hardship into public content.

We are not driven by publicity or recognition. Our purpose is service.

Because this is our own community, we believe in protecting the dignity and privacy of every individual and family we assist. Not everything belongs on social media, and we remain mindful that someone’s worst day should not be displayed for the world to see.

Please know that while you may not see every call or incident posted, our teams are actively working behind the scenes every single day β€” making a difference, offering care, and standing alongside those in need.

We will, however, continue to share monthly statistics with the community to keep you informed of our overall activities and impact. From time to time, we may also share selected incidents where it is appropriate to do so.

If you have an emergency at home and prefer not to call for assistance openly on Zello, you are welcome to contact our emergency number directly on 0872 655 289. We are available 24 hours a day, always ready to assist our community.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and your trust.

Together, we continue to serve β€” quietly, respectfully, and with purpose.

🚨 INCIDENT REPORT: MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT (MVA) 🚨
πŸ“… 24 April 2026
πŸ“ Moloto Road & Protea Road Intersection (Kameeldrift area)

At approximately 16:45, a serious multi-vehicle accident occurred on the Moloto Road at the intersection with Protea Road in the Kameeldrift area.

Upon arrival, responders found multiple patients scattered across the scene. The incident involved a bakkie that rolled off the road and a vehicle stationary in the southbound lane.

Due to the severity of the accident, multiple emergency services were immediately dispatched.

πŸ’” Tragically, two individuals lost their lives.
πŸš‘ Six patients were transported to nearby hospitals by various medical teams on scene.

The two deceased individuals had to be extricated by the Tshwane Fire Department.

🚧 Traffic conditions were extremely challenging due to long weekend congestion, with northbound traffic backing up and at times forming four lanes within a single-lane roadway, resulting in significant gridlock.

πŸ‘ A huge thank you to all emergency responders for their swift, coordinated, and professional response under very difficult conditions. This is what true teamwork looks like.
