As we had communicated previously that we are fighting for meal allowances to be released on the 31st of August as per usual and not on the 5th as the funds have already been allocated for the whole year.

This month we ensured that we communicate prior to the date we are requesting for and we are still waiting for feedback from the relevant officials as well as the CSRC Treasurer.

We will update the constituencies accordingly as soon as we receive feedback.

Subject: Non-operative clinic (Grey campus)

Revolutionary greetings,

Comrades, as it has been stated, the clinic at Grey Campus is currently non-operational due to the absence of a nurse, and students are being referred to the clinic at Masibulele Campus. The CSRC does not seem to be attending to this matter with the urgency it deserves.

1.Transport is only available at specific times, while Grey Campus is in close proximity to students.

2.Students are able to obtain referrals to a doctor from the nurse when necessary, meaning this cannot happen if there is no nurse on campus.

We call upon the CSRC and Management to attend to this matter expeditiously, as it directly affects the overall well-being of students at WS.

We have sent an email to the CSRC Social and Welfare Officer and will provide an update once we receive feedback.
