The Linden Victim Support Unit is with people on the worst days of their lives — 24/7/365 for as long as they're needed.

Something as small as a packet of chips or a cup of coffee can mean the world to someone in shock or in tears.

We've run out of snacks and refreshments for our Victim Friendly Room at Linden Police Station, and we need your help to restock.

We're accepting donations of:
• Chips or biscuits (individual packs)
• Small water bottles or long-life juice
• Coffee sachets

To arrange a drop-off, call or WhatsApp us on 065 957 5996.

Thank you for helping us show up for our community. 🙏

Families may feel more connected than ever in our digital age; however, issues such as stress, distractions, loneliness, and emotional overload are escalating at an alarming rate.

Cyber crimes are increasingly targeting children while reports of cyberbullying are raising significant concerns in both homes and schools.

We invite all parents, educators, and anyone working with children to join us for this invaluable talk by well known broadcaster, lay counsellor and public speaker Cindy Poluta, completely free of charge on Wednesday 20 May at 18:00 at De La Salle Holy Cross College, School Hall, on Road No3, Victory Park.

LindenCPF thank SAPS for their zero tolerance approach to corruption and bribery following a viral video involving a Linden SAPS member.

————
Police management in Gauteng has responded to viral social media footage allegedly showing a police officer in full uniform soliciting a bribe from a member of the public.

Authorities confirmed the officer has been identified and a criminal case of corruption has been opened for immediate investigation by the Provincial Anti-Corruption Unit.

An internal departmental disciplinary process has also been instituted.

Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni strongly condemned the alleged conduct, saying police members are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

He warned that any officer found guilty of corruption or abusing public trust will face serious consequences.

SAPS reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on corruption, stressing that accepting or soliciting bribes is a criminal offence and a direct violation of the SAPS Code of Conduct.

Members of the public have been urged not to offer bribes and to report any incidents of corruption, extortion or misconduct involving police officials through official complaint channels or to Independent Police Investigative Directorate.
————

We urge the community to to be alert.

“Bribery is the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of something of value to influence the actions of an official or person in a position of power. It is an illegal or unethical act intended to corruptly secure an advantage”
“Both parties (the giver and the receiver) are guilty of an offence.”

LindenCPF urge the community to report incidents of bribery and corruption.
