Today marks the end of Erinโ€™s Matric exams and her Grade 12 year and schooling. A rather special and memorable day indeed.

Now itโ€™s time to continue thanking the special people who made this cycling fundraiser a reality .

A very special THANK YOU to OWEN GROBLER for creating this page and doing all the backend support. Owen arranged the link to the GivenGain donate facility on this page and on the HuskyRomi website. KATIE his wife also assisted with our technical queries as and when they arose.
Thank you Owen and Katie for your time and effort, for your input and suggestions and for your assistance and support. We would especially like to thank you for seeing to it that Erin remained in an upright position in all her videos on this page despite her standing on her head in the videos on all of Mandyโ€™s screens at one stage ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚.
Our deep appreciation and gratitude to both of you for everything you have done to keep our communication channels open ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป.

The other person that played an equally important role in seeing to it that Erin crossed the finish line and achieved her goal of riding and finishing the race ......

DAVID , Erin's Dad. Dave you trained with Erin every day no matter how tired or grumpy you felt. You rode on weekends with her despite having had little sleep or a tough week, You mentored her, encouraged her and motivated her. You drove the entire project and you did it with love and passion. You beamed with pride when speaking about her effort but know this - You are Erin's rock, her 'go-to' person, her sounding board , her adviser, her teacher, her confidant, her friend and most importantly the BEST DAD!
Thank you for being by her side through this journey and on the race day. That finish photo is going to be truly special to see. Deep respect for the human you are and for your positive influence in Erin's life. We Thank you sincerely and deeply.

It's time to start thanking all the special people who made this fundraiser a reality and possible.
We'll start thanking you all in stages.

The two people who got Erin ready for the LONG LONG HARD Cycle on Sunday and across the finish line -

NDI, Erin's Personal Trainer. You were hard on Erin and pushed her because you knew her potential and needed her to realise it too. You had a plan and you executed it with precision and professionalism. But more than that, you are a true friend. For this we sincerely THANK YOU!

What an EPIC day. The Wolfpack rode with great heart and awesome determination. Erin finished the race with her dad riding along side her encouraging and supporting her. She rode like a champ and collected her medal. Congratulations to the whole team and THANK YOU.
We had one very costly mechanical mishap and sadly the Wolfpack cyclist had to stop his race when a bread packet snapped his chain and broke some parts.
Everyone else finished the race. Outstanding effort !!!

R3 000 donation just in from Peter and Sharon Maskell, THANK YOU!!!
It doesn't reflect yet but it's paid . Erin is getting closer to the R30 000 mark, TOTAL RAISED SO FAR - R 25 388.

Can we get to R30 000 while the team are giving it their all in the blazing sun and pushing those pedals through the ridiculously steep and brutal climbs they are encountering as you read this.

And off they go ..... good luck guys and girls! Safe cycling and have fun. The HuskyRomi wolves are watching over you ๐Ÿพ

It's finally time to ride for HuskyRomi!

What an awesome group of cyclist !
Great heart and spirit. Some more hopeful than others that their training would have gotten them into one size down in Cycling shirt but alas it wasn't the case ๐Ÿ˜‚ . Here are some photos of the build up to the start which is happening in a few minutes

Erinโ€™s journey with HuskyRomi Wolf Sanctuary

IN THE WORDS OF LARRY PAUL, OWNER OF HUSKYROMI WOLF SANCTUARY

Erin Bayliss. What can I say about this wonderful young woman? Mandy brought Erin out to the sanctuary to try to help her overcome her fear of big dogs, Erin came across as very shy and insecure, but we live by the Wolf Creed, we donโ€™t judge people, we try to embrace them.

As we started the tour Erin was not much of a big dog person and I felt sorry for her because she was missing out the fun part of interacting with the wolves, hybrids and Huskies, Mandy would almost have to force her into an enclosure, to cut a long story short, towards the end (a couple of hours later) Erin was starting to interact with the wolves as she came to realise that they are not like the movies make them out to be.

Erin came back again with Mandy and spent more time interacting with the animals. Erin brought her father, David and her brother to HuskyRomi, here we suddenly see a young woman take command of the whole thing. Erin is now taking her rather loud father into the enclosures and introducing him to the animals, I just stood back and let her run the show, she was so full of confidence, nothing was going to get in her way, not even her brother and we know what brothers can be like.
