*Ward 27 came alive!* 💛💚🖤

The ANC held a successful sectional meeting in *Soviet 1*, bringing the message of the People's Movement directly to the community.

The program was led by BEC Deputy Chairperson/ acting BET COORDINATOR, *Cde Lebogang Ramokoka*, who energized the community with the vision of the ANC.

Our councillor candidate, *Cde Fanie Laka*, committed to investing more in youth development and accelerating service delivery for the people of Ward 27.

He also touched strongly on how we will tackle crime in our area. A community crime prevention team called *Slayza Tsotsi* has been formed to patrol *Soviet 1 and Soviet View*, working together with community structures to make our streets safe again.

We reaffirmed our commitment to building better communities and improving the lives of our people.

Our dedicated volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure that our community has access to clean and reliable water.

This week we have successfully restored water supply and leakages at _Soviet 3 , Slovo Section and chesa mpama Lethabong._

We remain committed to improving service delivery and infrastructure in our community.

Vala Manzi is a service delivery program initiated to restore water services and stop water wastage in the community. The program will continue until Lethabong has become a better place.

Our ANC Volunteers worked tirelessly to identify and fix water leakages in the community.

*WARD 27 WOMEN'S DAY*
*Date:* 9 August 2026

ANC Ward 27 celebrated Women's Month with volunteers from ANC, VL, ANCWL, YL and Mayangayanga. The event marked 30 years of the ANC in government and 70 years of women's struggle.

Cde Banda, LET Deployee, delivered the mandate of the ANC on the 2026 Elections.
Ward Councillor Candidate, Cde Fanie Laka, together with the Women's League Chair, distributed ANC materials to all attendees.

The Women's Day event successfully created a space for women to be celebrated, heard and appreciated. It reinforced the ANC's commitment to advancing women's rights, economic empowerment and social justice. Attendees left feeling motivated and united.

Continuing with such community engagements will provide platforms for women to share challenges and solutions.

Vala Manzi Team has resolved two(2) year droughtness on house no:3761 our senior citizen saw the team on the street and approached them without wasting time they immediately responded to the crisis

Today our senior citizen is very and applauded the ANC Volunteers on the ground

TODAY’S REPORT: VALA MANZI PROGRAM & MANDELA MONTH

We have concluded our Mandela Month with a progressive approach to combat crime in our community.
We held a very successful meeting with Local SAPS Officials, CPF and Community Crime Fighters.

We donated equipment that will enhance their patrolling.

We have also completed fittings for vulnerable families. The following households are beneficiaries:
1) 3711
2) 3644
3) 4855
4) 4252

In all we have completed 11 houses.

We have proudly closed a problematic water leak at House No: 3880.

Big shout out to our Ward Councillor Candidate Cde FANIE LAKA and dedicated ANC Volunteers that are making sure day in and day out to change the lives of ordinary citizens 🙌
I salute you. The ANC salutes you 🫂
