The African National Congress (ANC) in Ward 27 today, 25 October 2026, embarked on a successful church visit at the Church of God as part of our ongoing community engagement programme ahead of the Local Government Elections.
The delegation was led by the ANC Ward 27 Councillor Candidate, Cde Fanie Laka, accompanied by the ANC Mayoral Candidate, Cde Thabang Rampou, members of the Branch Executive Committee and volunteers.
The programme commenced with praise and worship alongside the congregation. Cde Fanie Laka addressed the congregation on the critical role of the church in society, acknowledging the church as one of our most valued stakeholders and a pillar of moral guidance and community building.
As part of giving back to the community, Cde Thabang Rampou donated food parcels to 5 vulnerable families identified by the church leadership, while Cde Fanie Laka distributed ANC t-shirts to members. The excitement displayed by members and congregants showed that the ANC is still going strong.
In his address, Cde Laka promised to restore what is broken and to ensure that our people receive the quality service delivery they deserve.
The ANC in Ward 27 wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to Cde Rampou for his generosity and to all members who made the programme a success.
The engagement concluded with a call to all congregants and community members to vote for the African National Congress on the 4th of November 2026.
