THINK PINK IT'S THURSDAY!
The Department of Health Bojanala District stands together in raising awareness on cervical cancer.
Mothers of girl children between the ages of 12 to 15 are encouraged to ensure that their children receive the life saving HPV vaccination (which is a prevention method against Human Papuloma Viruses which can cause cancer) during the national campaign now underway at primary schools from 01 Aug until 30 Sep 2026.
Prevention starts with awareness.
Regular screening and early detection can save lives. Know your risk, get screened, encourage the women in your life to do the same, and share the message.
District officials continue to wear pink on Thursdays in support of cervical cancer awareness and to remind our communities that early detection matters and prevention is possible. πΈ
