JST HOSPITAL CONCLUDES SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONAL PLANNING LEKGOTLA, COMMITS TO EXCELLENCE IN 2026/2027
Job Shimankana Tabane Hospital (JST) Acting CEO, Ms. Eva Basetsana Mogorosi, officially closed the institution’s Operational Planning Lekgotla (13 – 15 May 2026) held at Sparkling Waters Hotel, calling for strengthened teamwork, accountability, and implementation as the hospital prepares for the 2026/2027 financial year.
The Lekgotla brought together Provincial and District Delegates, Executive Management, Healthcare Units, Clinical and Support Teams, Labour, the Hospital Board, and Sibanye Still Waters to reflect on achievements, confront challenges, and craft a strategic way forward for sustainable service delivery.
Addressing delegates in her closing remarks, Ms. Mogorosi expressed gratitude for the “meaningful contributions, robust engagement, and unwavering commitment” demonstrated throughout the sessions.
“Over these past days, we reflected honestly on our achievements, confronted our challenges head-on, and collectively crafted a way forward for the 2026/2027 financial year. The depth of our discussions proved that when we unite with purpose, discipline, accountability, and commitment, we can reposition our institution for excellence and sustainable service delivery,” she said.
Quoting Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans,” Ms. Mogorosi emphasized that planning must be matched by implementation, teamwork, integrity, and accountability.
She further highlighted the interdependence of all hospital functions, citing Ecclesiastes 4:9: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour.”
“Healthcare is a collective responsibility. No department, programme, or individual can succeed in isolation. Clinical and support services must continue to work hand in hand to achieve our shared vision of improved patient outcomes and operational excellence,” Mogorosi stated.
As staff return to their workstations, the Acting CEO urged them to be guided by excellence, compassion, professionalism, and stewardship of resources, with patients remaining at the centre of all efforts.
She concluded with a message of perseverance from Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
“The work ahead will be demanding, but together with faith, unity, and determination we will overcome our challenges and build a stronger institution for the people we serve,” she said.
As she concluded, Ms. Mogorosi applauded Sibanye Still Waters for their immense contribution during the three day Lekgotla, and reiterated the need to work with stakeholders for the improvement of quality health care services.
