Strategic Alignment, Accountability and Readiness

Circuits Coordination Meeting brought together all Circuit Managers, their Administrative Assistants (AAs), Schools Systems Support Administrators (SSSAs) and the two Office Managers from Rustenburg and Moses Kotane LEOs.

The meeting focused on aligning our plans and ensuring the effective closure of the 2026 academic year while laying a solid foundation for a well-prepared and successful 2027.

An equally important priority was responding to the Auditor-General’s findings aimed at addressing identified gaps and promoting continuous improvement in our operations.

As a team, we remain committed to strategic alignment, sound governance and a culture of accountability and excellence. Our collective efforts will be instrumental in translating plans into measurable outcomes and ensuring that we enter 2027 prepared, focused and ready to deliver.

Bosses’ Day has reminded me that leadership is not just about the position you occupy, but the person you become along the way. It is about learning, growing, making difficult decisions, discovering strengths you never knew you had and remaining humble enough to keep learning.

Every new chapter comes with its own lessons and I am embracing mine with gratitude, faith and a willingness to grow. After all, life is too short not to celebrate progress, appreciate those who guide us and keep becoming better versions of ourselves. One thing I know for sure, God’s timing is always worth trusting and there is beauty in every season of growth.

Three days of engagement, collaboration and a shared commitment to education.
Team Bojanala District engaged with parents, School Governing Bodies (SGBs), learners, staff and the Royal Bafokeng Institute at Matale, Charora and Molotlegi Secondary School.

These engagements reaffirmed the importance of strengthening partnerships and placing learners at the centre of every decision we make. Improving education requires collective responsibility, collaboration and a shared commitment from all stakeholders.

MEET AND GREET KGETLENG & RETLADIRELA CIRCUITS IN RUSTENBURG LEO
Following Monday's induction and preparation session, on Tuesday the 13th of October 2026 at 09H00 I met with the principals of Kgetleng and Retladirela circuits to introduce their newly appointed Circuit Managers.

It was a very good engagement, giving principals and their new Circuit Managers an opportunity to meet, interact and begin building a working relationship. The focus is on working together, strengthening our circuits and ensuring that our schools receive the leadership and support they need. Thank you to all the principals for the warm reception and positive engagement.

FROM INDUCTION TO THE OFFICES
After the induction and preparation session yesterday, I accompanied our newly appointed Circuit Managers to their respective offices as they begin this new chapter.

Induction is one thing; settling into the actual work is another. It was important for me to walk with them as they familiarise themselves with their new working environment and prepare to take charge of their circuits. Wishing our colleagues well as they take up their new responsibilities.

A FULL DAY OF INDUCTION AND PREPARATION.

Yesterday (12 October) I spent the day with our five newly appointed Circuit Managers, preparing them for the work ahead.

I started with the actual advert, looking at the Job Purpose and Post Requirements before moving to the job description. I wanted us to be clear about what they applied for and what the department expects from them in these position.

We then covered their roles and responsibilities, BAMPs (Basic Annual Management Plans), performance management, school functionality, curriculum monitoring, governance, compliance and reporting.

I also invited Ms Mahwibila to assist with the training and activation of their DDD accounts so that they can access school data for their respective circuits.

It was a long day, but an important one. There is a lot to do and the aim is to ensure that our colleagues hit the ground running.
