🗑️ REFUSE COLLECTION RECOVERY IS UNDERWAY!

As the City continues efforts to restore refuse collection services, residents are urged to help keep Johannesburg clean. 💛

Please do not dump illegally, keep refuse contained while awaiting collection, use designated drop-off facilities where required, and report illegal dumping to the City.

Clean streets start with all of us. Together, we can keep Johannesburg clean! ♻️

BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION | REGION E 🚨

A coordinated enforcement operation was conducted across 11 properties, bringing together various City departments to address non-compliance and strengthen service delivery.

The operation was supported by City Power, Joburg Water, Planning Law Enforcement, GFIS, Building Development Management, JMPD, Environmental Health and CRUM.

The inspections resulted in:

🔌 3 City Power cut-offs
🏘️ 5 notices for illegal land use issued by Town Planning
🏗️ 8 notices issued by Building Development Management for building-related contraventions
🩺 3 properties identified with health contraventions, with notices to follow.

Through coordinated enforcement, the City continues to ensure compliance with municipal by-laws, safeguard communities and promote safe, lawful and well-managed neighbourhoods.
