Diep River Community Police Forum The CPF is a group of people from different areas within our precinct that works in bridging the gap between SAPS and the community

Every resident and business owner that falls within the Diep River precinct who wishes to become part of the SOLUTION AGAINST CRIME in our area is encouraged to become actively involved in the Community Police Forum. What can you do to become part of making a difference against CRIME? Diep River has a large part of the Valley it looks after- they are: Southfield, Plumstead, Diep River, Meadowridge

, Steurhof and Constantia.

1. Become an active member in your Neighbourhood Watch in your area
2. Attend the relevant meetings
3. Contribute in whichever way possible, through time, skills or financial contributions and donations.
4. Always be alert, be the "eyes and ears" of SAPS and report suspicious behaviour

Your active involvement and commitment will give you the opportunity to offer your unique skills and resources in the collective fight against crime, towards our safety and security. Crime is a community challenge and requires a community driven solution!

Today was a day filled with mixed emotions as we bid farewell to Sgt Yuri Ray after almost 18yrs in SAPS. We were blessed to have Rev Soloshe open with her words of wisdom and prayer. Fellow colleagues shared memories with Sgt Ray....lots of laughter and also tears.

Once again we need to encourage all residents to be aware of bank scammers and all different forms of fraud
*Never give out your bank pin or any OTP number over the phone. You tell the caller you will visit the bank
*Do not open any emails with links to things you have no idea what or where it leads you to.
*Be careful of emails where they claim to be a courier company or you owe so much before you can receive your parcel. These are scams
*When buying online, rather stick to reputable companies and not people of FB Marketplace as it can lead to further problems
