Titans - Building Nations is a recognition platform that celebrates the men who play a major role in the development and growth of their country as well as the African continent and its people. Since the founding of the company in 2000, CEO Communications has prom

oted initiatives to recognise women such as Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government programme, which has been a flagship programme for many years in South Africa. It is long overdue that we extend this celebration and recognition of influential men across the borders of Africa. This 12 month programme is designed to celebrate and recognise men, providing a platform they can use to celebrate their achievements amongst their continental counterparts. In addition, this is an opportune time for networking in order to connect with like-minded individuals in order to advance their perspectives and achieve greater objectives in the future. This is seen as a builder of mutually beneficial relationships and now, one can extend these relationships across borders. A stringent, credible judging process conducted by independent business leaders, ensures that the most deserving men win in their various sectors, countries, regions as well as the continent.

2014 is the first year that the awards recognise the influence of men across a range of sectors as well as their communities. Winners will be announced at the events held in Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Zambia. The Titans – Building Nations publication will feature all these Titans annually and CEO Communications believes that both the process as well as the publication will grow from strength to strength.

The “velskoen” (skin shoe) also got to become popular with celebrities like David Kramer and Tolla van der Merwe wearing such shoes.
