LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (LED) FORUM

The Executive Mayor, Cllr NS Mtsweni chaired the LED Forum (25 June 2024) with assistance from Executive Manager: Planning & Economic Development Ms. EK Matjiane, to look into promoting the socioeconomic development within our municipality. Invited stakeholders presented on their respective LED related projects/initiatives that can benefit the community. The forum is the platform to exchange ideas and provide progress working together to can boost the local economy. The members of the forum represented includes traditional leaders, Mphahlela Masingi Masingi Technical College Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency Dardlea7 Maggs & Beads Raks Milling, Raks Milling Vergenoeg mine, Nokeng mine, Women in Business, NYDA, SEDA, business forum, local sector departments, informal traders committee, youth chambers, Sankikhulu PTY, cooperative structure, Executive managers and Councillors (MMCs and members of the Finance and LED Section 79 committee).
