PUBLIC NOTICE: FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Water and Sanitation Department is conducting fire hydrant flushing to address reports of discoloured water.

Residents may observe water being discharged from hydrants during this process. This is a controlled process to remove sediment and maintain water quality.

The flushing will take approximately 3 hours. Please note that there will be no water outage during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

BCRM SERVICE DELIVERY UPDATE

The Municipality is making steady progress on service delivery in Blue Crane Route Municipality:

- Xola Street: Only 18 meters of concrete work remaining. Brick packing to commence.
- Govan Mbeki Street: Construction is underway and progressing well, as committed by the Mayor.
- Channel Cleaning: Cleaning of channels in Cookhouse is ongoing.
- Gravel Roads: Grading and maintenance of gravel roads at Govan Mbeki and Khweza Streets completed.

We thank residents for their patience and cooperation as we work to improve services.
