"The flesh is satisfied by worldly things, but the soul needs only God’s word." The leadership of KwaDukuza Subregion still values holding on to the Holy Spirit, which is why they visited churches during Passover. The KwaDukuza SRCT, together with the Provincial Deputy Chair, visited New Beginning Church in Zion. The Subregional Secretary visited Word of Grace Bible Church, where he delivered a very powerful message. Being involved in community activities is important to us, we are part of our community and will continue to stand with our people.

In a recent visit to Ward 24, the chairperson's home ward, the team rolled up their sleeves to support local farmers. They provided essential seeds and lent a helping hand with weeding and irrigation, ensuring the farmers are well-prepared for the upcoming planting season. Today KwaDukuza SRCT began visits to retail stores in our sub-region as part of our ongoing programme to engage businesses on the procurement of locally produced goods.

We have already visited Pick n Pay, Roots, Ackermans and Pep to engage management and gather information regarding locally sourced products and local suppliers. These visits are the beginning of a broader process, as we will continue engaging other retail outlets in the coming days.

Our focus is on understanding the extent to which local products are supported and identifying opportunities to strengthen the participation of local suppliers within major retail stores.

This work has started, and we will continue until we have covered all relevant stores in our area. Updates will follow as the programme progresses.

It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that we received the news of Luleko Sibisi's untimely passing. As a young man, he was filled with promise and potential, and his life was tragically cut short, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

The KwaDukuza Sub-region extends its sincerest condolences to Luleko's family, friends, and loved ones. We grieve with you and take comfort in the memories we shared with him. Though we may not understand the ways of life and death, we trust in the divine plan and take solace in our faith.

We invite the community to join us as we gather to celebrate Luleko's life and bid him farewell. His funeral service will be held today at Charlottedale Community Hall.
