Even though child protection is set out on a calender for a week, here at ACVV Stellenbosch and Akkerjakker crèche we do it with the greatest of love throughout the year!

Last week we had a fun filled reptile week at Akkerjakker. From exciting gross motor activities and sensory play to fun story time adventures, our little ones learned so much while having the best time together. We ended off our week in the coziest way with Slipper day.

Verlede week het ons 'n prettige reptielweek by Akkerjakker gehad. Van opwindende growwe motoriese aktiwiteite en sensoriese spel tot prettige storie-avonture, ons kleintjies het soveel geleer terwyl hulle die beste tyd saam gehad het. Ons het ons week op die geselligste manier afgesluit met Pantoffeldag.

💚 Child Protection Week at Akkerjakker and ACVV Stellenbosch💚

Our children enjoyed decorating their own cupcakes with green icing in support of Child Protection Week, dancing, and learning valuable safety lessons. Through stories and discussions, they explored topics such as protecting their private parts, personal boundaries, and stranger danger in an age-appropriate way.

Ons kinders het dit geniet om hul eie kolwyntjies met groen versiersuiker te versier ter ondersteuning van Kinderbeskermingsweek, te dans en waardevolle veiligheidslesse te leer. Deur stories en besprekings het hulle onderwerpe soos die beskerming van hul privaatdele, persoonlike grense en vreemdelinggevaar op 'n ouderdomsgepaste manier verken.

Hierdie week het ons klein ontdekkers by Akkerjakker meer geleer oor bye, skoenlappers en naaldekokers van kreatiewe kuns tot lekker storietyf.
Ons klasse was gevul met klein vlerkies en groot glimlagte!
Die maatjies het baie pret gehad terwyl hulle nuwe dinge leer.

This week our little explorers at Akkerjakker learned more about bees, butterflies and dragonflies from creative art to fun storytelling.
Our classes were filled with little wings and big smiles!
The friends had a lot of fun while learning new things.
