Today, we commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the June 16 Soweto Uprising, a defining moment in our nation's struggle for freedom and justice. We honour the bravery, sacrifice and resilience of the youth of 1976 who stood against oppression and changed the course of South African history.

📍 07 June 2026 | Ga Seleka, Lephalale Sub-Region

The ANCYL STT Member, Cde Tebogo Makwela, together with VD Coordinators, joined the NEC door-to-door campaign Led by the 2ND DSG CDE Venus Blennies Magage in Ga Seleka, engaging communities on local challenges and assisting young people with voter registration.

The programme formed part of ongoing efforts to mobilise and organise the youth to participate actively in shaping the future of our communities and advancing the struggle for transformation.
