Zingela Nature Reserve is 27,000 hectares of continuous reserve that hosts an abundance of wildlife, including Roan, Sable, Leopard, Cheetah and Brown Hyena. Birders are also in for a treat, and will be able to spot rare and endangered bird species, in particular the White-Backed Vulture, Secretary Bird, Kori Bustard and Saddle-Billed stork to name a few.

Zingela Nature Reserves Doornstock Lodge can sleep a total of 14 people in 4 chalets and a farm house. The farm house sleeps 6 persons, with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The 4 chalet sleeps 3 persons in an open plan en-suit room. Outside is a private braai area, lapa and swimming pool. This lodge is booked out exclusively.

Adansonia digitata, the African Baobab also know as the up side down tree. Often referred to as the “Tree of Life” by locals due to its many uses.

Zingela Nature Reserves Leadwood Lodge has 3 beautiful chalets, each chalet sleeps 5 persons, with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, open plan kitchen and dining area. Private braai area, with a shared swimming pool and lapa.

Baobab Tented Lodge

Baobab Tented Lodge is located on top of a rugged African kopje and is guarded by ancient Baobab sentinels. This ‘Safari’ style tented camp will give you a true African experience.

Baobab Tented Lodge has 4 safari style tents, each with their own en-suite bathrooms and private viewing decks which overlook pristine African bush veld.

There is a communal kitchen, lounge, swimming pool and braai (BBQ) area. The entire tented camp is powered by a solar system.

Leadwood Lodge

The lodge is located in the Northern part of Zingela Nature Reserve.

Leadwood Lodge has 3 self-catering chalets; each chalet consists of the following: A main bedroom with a queen size bed, a second bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom facilities, a fully equipped open-plan-kitchen and dining area as well as a lounge. An additional single bed is provided in the lounge area.

There is a communal outdoor swimming pool, lapa and braai (BBQ) area.

Doornstock Lodge

The lodge is located in the Northern part of Zingela Nature Reserve. Doornstock Lodge is ideal for the exclusive use of large family groups. The lodge has 1 main house and 2 freestanding inter-leading chalets.

The main house has three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a fully equipped open-plan-kitchen with a scullery, dining and lounge area. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and one bedroom has 2 single beds.

The 2 freestanding inter-leading chalets each have double beds, single bunk beds and en-suite bathrooms. One of the freestanding units has a pathway leading to an outdoor shower which is fantastic for the Limpopo climate.
