Please be informed that the MKSM Women’s Month Celebration originally scheduled for 29 August has been postponed.

📌 New Date: 5 September 2025
📌 Venue: Mangosuthu University of Technology
📌 Reason: To allow for larger coverage and broader participation in this important program.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. This change will ensure that the event is even bigger, more impactful, and reflective of the historic role women continue to play in our movement and society.

🚨Official Statement MKSM MUT🚨

The MKSM MUT Branch is the only officially recognised structure of the movement at Mangosuthu.

We are aware of an illegitimate group that has been posing as MKSM leaders, removing legitimate leadership from platforms, spreading propaganda, and even mistreating students. As your true leadership, we could not remain silent any longer.

We call on all students, members, and activists to exit all unofficial groups and remain only in those led by the recognised MKSM MUT structure. Our struggle is for unity, fairness, and the dignity of every student.

“They tried to destroy us, but they failed. We rise stronger, reclaiming what was lost, and we will not compromise until every student is treated equally.”

Comrades,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Green Thursday, scheduled for today, has unfortunately been postponed until further notice.

This difficult decision comes as two of our committed members were involved in a car accident earlier today. As a leadership collective, we are prioritizing their well-being and are making arrangements to be by their side and offer support during this critical time.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and ask for your understanding and solidarity during this moment. We will keep the movement updated on any developments and advise on a new date for Green Thursday in due course.
