Today we handed over a Contractor to Highbury Community. The project entails the construction of 50ML/D Highbury Water Treatment Works stage 2 Civil is awarded at a project value of R168, 7 m estimated to take a period of 24 months. The project is part of the KSD PI implementation to supply Northen and Eastern areas in Mthatha as well as Libode and Ngqeleni outskirts.

The Memorial Service of our departed Member of the Mayoral Committee; Cllr W Ngozi went well at the our Government Printers Hall. The service was graced by the presence of Leaders from the ANC, Mayors and Executive Mayors from our Local Municipalities, as well as Leaders from the Alfred Nzo District with its Municipalities.

Today we joined Bantubonke Wool Project to open a Shearing shed in Buntingville ; Ward 13 Nyandeni, donated by Sibanye Still Waters. In attendance was also the King of Amampondo aseNyandeni; King Ndlovuyezwe. The facility willl provide wool growers from five villages with the opportunity to participate in the wool ind.

After a solemn service of the St Barnabas Archdeaconry of the Anglican Church at libode, we joined the Kiwa’s Media tournament at Rotary Stadium.

The Tournament attracts the interest of the youth across the province.
