[IDP,BUDGET,PMS AND PROCUREMENT PLAN 2026/2027]

The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality held a Management Retreat at Nkululekweni Council Chambers.

In his welcoming address, Executive Mayor Cllr G.N. Nelani welcomed all the members of Finance and procurement addressed budget route, procurement plan implementation by departments emphasised the costs of the Municipality and aproved budgets.

The Purpose of the meeting was about the budgets and the costs of the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality during the year and how the Budget should be used avoiding unnecessary expenses.

KSD Municipality in partnership with the Department of Human Settlements held a Public Information Session on the Prevention of Illegal Evictions (PIE) Act to provide communities with information about housing rights and the correct legal steps for evictions.

Topics covered included:
• An overview of the PIE Act
• The duties and obligations of tenants and landlords
• The legal process that must be followed before an eviction can take place.

INDUCTION AUDIT COMMITTEE AND PERFORMANCE AUDIT COMMITTEE (APAC) MEETING.

The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality conducted an Induction Audit Committee and Performance Audit Committee (APAC) meeting at Nkululekweni Council Chambers.

In his welcoming address, MMC Cllr Nyengane welcomed committee members and emphasised the critical role of the Audit Committee and Performance Audit Committee in strengthening good governance, accountability, transparency and effective oversight within the Municipality.

The meeting focused on key discussions on enhancing financial and performance management ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Municipal policies and promoting sound governance practices.

The induction session also provided a platform for members to engage on critical governance matters and promote the Municipality’s commitment to sound administration, effective oversight and improved service delivery.

The final day of the ABC Motsepe League National Play-Offs has officially come to an end at Gerald Hawkes Stadium in Mthatha, bringing to a close an exciting week of football action as teams battled for promotion and national glory.

✅ North West University 1 – 1 Hope FC (Full Time)
✅ North West University (4) – (5) Hope FC (Penalties)

Following a thrilling and closely contested final, Hope FC emerged victorious in the penalty shootout, defeating North West University 5–4 after a 1–1 draw in regulation time to be crowned the 2026 ABC Motsepe League National Champions.

Congratulations to Hope FC on this remarkable achievement and to North West University for a commendable performance throughout the tournament. Both teams showcased exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship on their journey to the final.

📍 Mthatha once again demonstrated its capability to host major sporting events, bringing together football supporters from across the country in celebration of South African football.
