The Vaal is ALIVE! Spring is here, and the celebration has officially begun! 🌊

We are LIVE at Stonehaven On Vaal for the launch of the 23rd Edition of the Vaal River Carnival! 🎉

In his welcome address, MMC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Cllr Malindi, called on the media to support and amplify the Carnival. He emphasised that today is about more than unveiling the events calendar, it is about positioning Emfuleni as a premier tourism destination and a place of choice, while using tourism and events as key drivers of economic activity.

Today’s launch is graced by the political and administrative leadership, including Executive Mayor Cllr Hassan Mosola Mako, Municipal Manager Mr April Ntuli, Members of the Mayoral Committee and the Office of the Speaker.

The 2026 Carnival is proudly supported by the Gauteng Tourism Authority, Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Riverside Hotel, South African Breweries, Changan Motors, Thabong Mall, Evaton Mall, Bedworth Centre and Vaal Mall. 🙌

Get ready for six weeks of pure joy, music, fashion, food, festivals and family fun! 🌸🎶🍴
