PROGRESS UPDATE:SEWER WORKS AT VEREENIGING TAXI RANK

The African National Congress in Pixley Ka Seme Branch Ward 15 wishes to inform the community of Vereeniging that your voice has been heard.

Following the serious service delivery concerns raised by residents and taxi operators regarding the Union Street Sewer at Vereeniging Taxi Rank, the ANC intervened and ensured that the Emfuleni Local Municipality is on site.

We are proud to report progress:

PROJECT: Union Street Sewer Upgrade - Vereeniging Taxi Rank
STATUS: At Completion Stage
Work Done: Packing and Backfilling is complete.
Final Status: Project Complete.

This is Service Delivery in Action. This is what happens when a caring and responsive organization leads. The ANC is not just a governing party, we are part of the community, we live with the community and we feel what the community feels.

COMMUNITY SERVICE UPDATE: WARD 15

The ANC Pixley Ka Seme Branch hears the people of Ward 15.

Following community concerns about illegal dumping, we engaged Emfuleni Local Municipality and cleanup operations are now underway in our area. This is service delivery in action.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the ANC Regional Executive Committee for its continued support of service delivery initiatives at branch level, under the collective leadership of Regional Secretary Cde Jason Mkhwane and Regional Chairman Cde Mlungisi Hlongwane . Your guidance strengthens our work on the ground.

ANC Ward 15 remains committed to championing a clean, safe and dignified environment for all residents. The overwhelming support and confidence shown by our community is clear proof that 15 years of DA rule in this ward is drawing to an end.

The people are ready for an ANC government that listens, responds, and delivers.

CLEAN-UP COMPLETED: ILLEGAL DUMPING AT PARK NEXT TO GRANADA STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

Following the request from Ward 15 youth and students to clean the illegal dumping at the park next to Granada Student Accommodation, we escalated it and yesterday graders and TLBs were deployed. The park has now been cleaned.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Regional Secretary Cde Jason Mkhwane and the ANC REC Collective for their continued support to Branches. Your leadership makes service delivery possible.

SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS UPDATE
Union Street Sewer Upgrade | Vereeniging Taxi Rank

Following community engagement through the ANC,
Metsi a Lekoa | Emfuleni Local Municipality has deployed a crew to site.

CURRENT ACTIVITY: Commencement of pipe reaming and upsizing. The existing sewer line is being reamed and replaced with a new 450mm Ø gravity sewer pipe via trenchless technology.

WE HEARD YOU. WE REQUESTED IT. IT'S HAPPENING

We heard you. We requested it. It’s happening.
The sewer challenges at Union Street Taxi Rank have been prioritized.

The Municipal team is currently doing underground work:
`8m deep • 270m long • 500mm pipe` directly under the railway line.

As the technical team reported: "Very big and complicated job." But it is progressing.

This is what practical service delivery looks like. Not talk show.Tangible Work.

Thank you to the Metsi a Lekoa team for working under difficult conditions for our community.

There is still more to be done as per reports in our desks, we will keep holding each department accountable for services to reach our community

FINAL PUSH AT PIXLEY KA SEME BRANCH, WARD 15

In the last hours of voter registration, SASCO is on the ground in Ward 15 making sure every eligible voter is registered to vote ANC in the upcoming Local Government Elections.

We appreciate SASCO RTT members Cde Kekeletso Mthembu, Cde Bokang Bartman, Cde Lunga Mahlangu and the SASCO BEC under the leadership of SASCO SEDCOL Chair Cde Thato Mohono and our BET Coordinator Cde Ntombokhanyo Sangweni for leading this work.
