Confirmed by CSRC SG after thorough engagements with relevant offices, truth is CSRC already granted the EFFYC affiliation, yet PASMA Led LSRC continues to block & silence us by feeding lies, which is nothing short of abuse of power & a violation of the SRC constitution.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO FIGHTERS AND ALL STUDENTS OF CPUT.

Dated: 02 May 2025

The EFF Youth Command at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) hereby calls upon all fighters and students to unite in embarking on a massive demonstration directed to the NSFAS Offices on Friday, 09 May 2025. The March will commence at 11h00 am from the District 6 Shuttle Point and head straight to the NSFAS Offices.

This march is not just a march but it is a collective battle cry for justice and a demand for accountability for the affected CPUT populace. Several attempts have been tirelessly made by the EFFYC to mitigate the ongoing issues plaguing our students by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). It is crystal clear that there is no willingness to engage with the SRC led by EFFYC to usher in amicable solutions on the issues at hand.

It is an open secret that the NSFAS Officials do not take the future of the students serious, particularly black and marginalized students. This egocentric deed seeks to undermine the academic progress and dignity of countless students. Delays in funding, unjust defunding, and mismanagement have left many of our students without food, accommodation, or access to education.

We are saying: Enough is Enough!
Our demands are clear:
* Immediate intervention of all outstanding NSFAS issues affecting students.
* Transparency and accountability in NSFAS administration.
* Urgent financial and academic relief for affected students.

We encourage all students, affected or not, to be in solidarity with the affected students and join the massive demonstration. The EFF Youth Command CPUT shall ascertain that nothing remains normal at abnormal conditions. We are young and energetic. We do not want to be tested.

Kindly Receive Our Warmest Yet Revolutionary Greetings preponderance constituency of CPUT.

We want to reiterate to the university management that we, the EFFYC CPUT are strongly antagonistic to the proposal to introduce application fee and upfront payment of registration fee.

This egocentric deed to implement this proposal has been introduced to generate profit in attempt to cover up the monies that the university management has spent carelessly. We are aware that the management has been engaged in corrupt activities and mismanagement of the funds as a result the university is in this quagmire of being bankrupt.

We do not agree that the poor of the poorest should be liable to cover the incompetency and corrupt deeds of the management. We will encourage all students to vehemently reject this proposal.

We are young and energetic. We do not want to be tested.

In light of the upcoming CPUT 2025 Graduations ceremonies, the EFFSC/YC Drakenstein, Wellington Ward 2 would like to congratulate and wish only the Best to the class of 2025, in their future endeavors.

Furthermore, we call on all graduands who wish to have congratulatory posters issued from the office, to forward their graduations details *(Names, course and graduation date & time; and photo)* to the ward convenor, Fighter Richard on 078 795 9726.
