Hijacked vehicle recovered and a suspect arrested by the speedy response and communication with the police. An elderly lady was hijacked from her brand new vw polo on Wednesday afternoon at 14:00 right in front of her entrance gate to her property. As she was busy getting out of the car to enter her property , two unknown black suspects stopped next to her vehicle. One jumped out and apprehended the old lady and threatened to kill her if she started screaming. He started assaulting her by hitting her over the head and on the body , and taking her vehicle by force . He fled in the direction of Tshepisong after which the elderly lady started screaming and alerted WCPS Security immediately . The local police was informed by our control room , and a lookout was given for the hijacked vehicle . The vehicle was spotted by the police on Randfontein Road heading towards Leratong Hospital and Tshepisong . During the pursue the suspect lost control of the new vehicle , and crashed it into a concrete wall. Suspect was arrested , and the owner was informed about the recovery of her vehicle . It was later discovered that the suspect was on parole. Further investigation will be done by the police.This incident occured in Leerdam street , Witpoortjie .
