We’ll have our delicious Slider Trio, Snack Boxes and Chicken Strips for the kids available throughout the day.

It has been a wild month, but through it all, the Monks spirit stays strong and we are happy to say that Monks is OPEN again.

A huge thank you to our incredible community for all the kindness, encouragement and love over the past few weeks. Seeing everyone come together has reminded us what this valley is truly about.

The May 2026 Breederiver flood had a massive impact on Monks Gin Distillery.

The flood water made its way through our distillery, tasting areas and surrounding property, leaving behind damage, mud and a lot of hard work ahead of us. Looking back at these photos is heartbreaking, but they also tell the story of where we are right now.

Since the moment we were safely able to get back into the building, we have been hands-on every single day. Cleaning, fixing, pressure washing, planning and doing whatever we can to get Monks back on its feet. Today, Saturday, is no different. We are still here, working full-time and putting in everything we have.

We are also busy working on access and roads to make sure our clients can safely reach us again. If all goes according to plan, we are hoping to be open and running again from next week. We will keep you updated every step of the way.

How can you support us during this difficult time? Come visit us when we reopen, enjoy a cocktail with us, bring your friends, or grab a bottle of Monks Gin. Every visit, every bottle and every bit of support means more than you know right now.

Most importantly, our hearts go out to every farmer, family and business affected by these devastating floods. We know many people have suffered tremendous losses and our thoughts are with you all.
