Die Kliphuisie

Die Kliphuisie Die Kliphuisie is a fully equipped, self-catering, whitewashed stone cottage on a working wine and fruit farm in the spectacular Breerivier Valley

Die Kliphuisie is a whitewashed stone cottage on a 90 ha working wine and fruit farm with 360-degree mountain views. Built from river stones and mud, in bygone days it housed two workers’ families, hence the two hearths and chimneys. The bathroom with open-air hot water shower under the canopy of the milky way and southern cross, was a recent addition as workers families collected water from the n

earby irrigation furrow. Lovingly restored to preserve its character and charm and dressed in crisp white cottons with old Cape furniture, Die Kliphuisie takes you back to a bygone era with almond, fig and lemon trees scattered in disarray with herbs and roses in an informal garden . The cottage sleeps 2 to 4 people in 2 interleading bedrooms. It is fully equipped for self catering with a 2 plate gas stove, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery ,bedlinen, towels and a barbeque area with a vine-covered pergola.
