Women’s Month: Celebrating Compassion at Badisa Wolseley
August is Women’s Month in South Africa, a time to celebrate the strength, courage and compassion of women who continue to shape our communities. It is also the month when Badisa colours the world Purple, celebrating compassion. In light of this, Badisa Wolseley, in collaboration with our valued stakeholders the Department of Justice: Wolseley Magistrates’ Court and Cape Winelands Municipality hosted a Women’s Day High Tea to honour, recognise and celebrate our longstanding foster care mothers.
The event was a celebration of these remarkable women and their dedication, compassion and invaluable contribution to the lives of vulnerable children, families and communities💜.
It was a truly fun-filled programme, with moments of tears and laughter, delicious food, cake, tea and, of course, some amazing lucky-draw prizes! 🎂☕🎁
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our special guests:
💜 Ms M. Josephus, who addressed the foster care mothers and shared a meaningful message in recognition of their compassion, commitment and lasting contribution to the lives of the children in their care.
💜 Wolseley Magistrates Court, Presiding Officer; Ms S. Naik, who addressed the foster care parents and acknowledged their important role and contribution within the child protection system.
💜 Alderman Sampson, who delivered the vote of thanks and acknowledged our foster care parents and the Badisa Wolseley staff for their compassion and commitment to caring for children.
