RAMOTSHERE MOILOA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, INDIGENTS REGISTRATION PROGRAMME

Purpose
To identify and register qualifying indigent households for access to municipal support and free basic services.

Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality remains dedicated to supporting vulnerable households through ongoing indigent registration.

Residents are encouraged to participate in municipal programmes aimed at improving service delivery and community development.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

Please bring the following:
South African ID
Latest electricity card or account receipt
SASSA letter – for pensioners/old age grant recipients
Unemployment affidavit – if unemployed.

NOTICE OF ROAD IMPACTS DUE TO COMMUNITY MARCH IN ZEERUST

The Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality wishes to inform residents, motorists, businesses, and all road users that a community march will take place in Zeerust on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

The march, organised to raise community concerns, will commence at open space in front Shell garage, Kloof Street proceed through the Central Business District (CBD).

Roads to be Affected

The following streets will experience temporary disruptions during the march:

* Church Street
* Coetzee Street

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, make use of alternative routes where possible, and exercise patience and caution while travelling in the affected areas.

To ensure the safety of all participants and the general public, officers from the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality Traffic and Law Enforcement Unit, together with the South African Police Service (SAPS), will be deployed along the route to manage traffic, maintain public order, and minimise disruptions.

The Municipality appreciates the cooperation and understanding of residents and road users during this period and remains committed to ensuring that the march proceeds in a safe and orderly manner while safeguarding the rights and safety of all members of the community.
