The programme is designed for officers working in the National Statistical Offices, Planning Departments of Government Ministries and Statutory Bodies, NGOs, Private Sector and Students of Statistics. The approach adopted is mainly Problem Solving and Results Based Management.

The data when systematically collected and analyzed on a subject of interest, they become information which can be applied to specific problems or questions and consequently use this information as evidence to establish a position or course of action (policy formulation for example).
