Registrar General in the Department of National Registration, Passport and Citizenship, Mr. Davies Chikalanga, visited the department's stand at the 60th International Trade Fair in Ndola.

During his visit, he had the opportunity to personally hand over printed passports to applicants who had successfully applied online and completed their interviews.

MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS AND INTERNAL SECURITY SCOOPS THIRD PRIZE FOR DIGITAL EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION AT AFRICA PUBLIC SERVICE DAY 2026

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security has been recognised for its commitment to digital excellence and innovation after securing Third Prize in the same category during the 2026 Africa Public Service Day Commemoration.

The recognition reflects the Ministry's dedication to digital excellence and innovation.

The award serves as a testament to the Ministry’s continued efforts to digitalisation, efficiency and service delivery. The ministry through the Department of National Registeration Passport and Citizenship(DNRPC) this year, launched the e-passport a service that is receiving overwhelming response.

Another department that has fully digitalised is the Register of Societies with services among them. Paying return ,ckub,church association registeration being done online.

The commemorative event was officiated by Her Honour the Vice President, Dr. W.K. Mutale Nalumango, on behalf of His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema. The event was held under the theme:

“Enhancing Public Sector Institutions and Empowering Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships to Achieve Universal Water Availability and Safe Sanitation by 2063 ."

The celebration highlighted the vital contribution of public service workers in driving national development, delivering essential services, and improving the quality of life for citizens across the country.
