The Road Smart Team at the Kulamba Ceremony.

The RTSA team is in Katete, Eastern Province at the Kulamba Traditional
Ceremony educating the atendees of the ceremony on the importance of road safety, while our Enforcement team is conducting traffic management.

Make sure you pass through our stand and be educated on road Safety and walk away with a T- shirt or a highway Code.

Let’s celebrate our culture AND stay safe on the roads.

We are here in Katete, Eastern Province educating and sensitizing the masses of road safety as we prepare for the Kulamba Traditional Ceremony of the Chewa speaking people which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Ba Group D who misunderstood the Did You Know yesterday here is a break down.

Requirements for Change of Ownership:

✅️Letter of Sale/Donation
✅️Zambia Revenue Authority Tax Clearance Certificate for Change of Ownership for a Motor Vehicle
✅️NRC copies/Certificate of Registration or Incorporation for both buyer and seller
✅️Original Motor Vehicle or Trailer Registration Certificate
✅️RTSA Physical Inspection Report — K64
✅️Police Report from the Anti-Theft of Motor
✅️General Affidavit from the local courts or Commissioner of Oaths
✅️Form MVR 1 — signed by both the seller and buyer

Fee payable: K476

Always remember that the motor vehicle must have a valid Roadworthiness Certificate and the insurance ceases to be valid once change of ownership has been done.

These processes are not meant to.punish you they are inline with the Road Traffic (Amendment) Act No 8 of 2022 and ensure proper record keeping, prevent fraud and protect both buyer and seller.
