We refuse to let other people’s perceptions define who we are or what we are capable of becoming.

Our identity is rooted in our unwavering belief in ourselves, our values, and the principles we have chosen never to compromise.

The communities around us have shaped our journey, strengthened our character, and taught us valuable lessons. But they do not determine the limits of our destiny. We do.

Great visions are not built overnight. They are built with purpose, sacrifice, resilience, and consistency, it’s about one block at a time, one challenge at a time, one victory at a time.

We have chosen to dream boldly, lead courageously, and pursue impact relentlessly.

These communities made us who we are today, and we speak about them with pride because we are products of them.

They shaped our character, strengthened our resilience, and inspired our purpose.

Every time we meet young boys and girls, we see a reflection of ourselves, Young dreamers with big aspirations.

We know what it means to grow up believing in a better future despite the odds, and today we stand as living proof that no situation is permanent.

That is why we remain committed to speaking for the most vulnerable and creating opportunities for young people. We have faith that today’s children will become tomorrow’s leaders, shaping the future of our nation.

Yesterday, I was deeply privileged and honoured to feature on ZNBC TV1’s The Update Programme, where I had the opportunity to discuss Youth Participation in Elections with Franklin Tembo Jr.

As Zambia heads towards the 2026 General Elections, I believe it is more important than ever to encourage young people to actively participate in our democratic processes, not only by casting their vote, but also by engaging in civic education, promoting peaceful coexistence, holding leaders accountable, and contributing to national development.

I am sincerely grateful to ZNBC TV1 for providing this important platform and for recognizing the role of youth-led organisations in shaping national conversations.

It was an honour to share my perspectives and advocate for greater youth inclusion in governance and decision-making.

My heartfelt appreciation also goes to everyone who tuned in, sent messages of encouragement, and continues to support the work we are doing through YouthConnect Mansa-Luapula Initiative Organisation. Your support inspires us to keep championing youth empowerment and active citizenship.

Together, let us continue to build a peaceful, inclusive, and democratic Zambia where every young person’s voice counts.

Leadership should never be treated as a trial-and-error exercise.

It is a responsibility that demands preparation, continuous learning, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

True leadership is cultivated through every stage of growth, by listening, observing, learning, and appreciating the experiences that shape effective leaders.

The mistakes of those who came before us should become lessons, not patterns we repeat.

That is why we intentionally invest our time in learning from their successes and failures, so that we can lead more wisely, serve more effectively, and leave a stronger foundation for those who will come after us.

The two greatest investments you can make in your personal development are your TIME and your MINDSET.

Time is your most valuable asset, while your mindset determines how you use it. A positive, disciplined, and growth-oriented mindset transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary opportunities.

Money can support your journey, but it cannot replace the value of time or the power of the right mindset. Many successful people began with limited financial resources, but they maximized their time and cultivated a mindset focused on learning, resilience, and continuous improvement.

Invest your time wisely. Develop your mindset intentionally.

When these two work together, growth becomes inevitable, and success becomes a matter of consistency rather than chance.
