MUCHINGA PROVINCIAL ELECTION SUPPORT CENTRE OPERATIONAL.

Chinsali - The Muchinga Provincial Election Support Centre (PESC) is now fully operational as the electoral process continues across the province.

The Centre brings together officers from various districts in Muchinga Province who are working to support the coordination, monitoring and communication of election related activities.

The team comprises key personnel responsible for receiving and verifying field information, compiling reports, monitoring developments at polling stations and providing timely updates to facilitate informed decision making.

The Centre serves as a critical coordination hub during the electoral process, providing a central point for the collection, verification, analysis and dissemination of information from the field. This enables the Electoral Commission of Zambia to maintain a clear picture of developments across the province and respond appropriately to emerging issues.

Officers stationed at the Centre are working closely with field teams and other election officials to ensure that accurate and timely information is relayed from polling stations and other areas of operation.

All political parties, candidates, accredited observers, monitors, the media and other election stakeholders are requested to proceed to the Mpika Town Council Civic Centre immediately to witness the receipt and offloading of the ballot papers upon their arrival anytime from now.

Pupils from Mushipi Trust School posed for a photo holding a banner at the school canteen. They are excited because the Colour Festival will be held on 29th August 2026.

Mpika Town Council Assistant Commercial Manager, Mr. Michael Nganmbi, has called on residents of Mpika to come in large numbers and attend the event.

He said the event will feature a Colour Festival and a Bonfire Party. There will also be a promotion where when you buy 3 beers, you get 1 freel.
