Meet Ms. Kakuhu Tololi, a member of the Munakazi Wakukanyama ("Strong Woman") Women's Club from Imatongo Ward.

In 2023, the group received a K20,000 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Grant aimed at empowering women through entrepreneurship and income-generating activities.

The group consists of 10 members, with three members engaged in the sale of second-hand clothing (salaula) and one member operating a salon business.

Through prudent use of the grant, members have been able to grow their businesses, support their families, and improve their livelihoods.

Ms. Tololi has praised the CDF initiative for creating opportunities for women who previously lacked access to business capital. She has encouraged fellow beneficiaries to use CDF funds responsibly so that the programme can continue transforming lives and strengthening communities.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is conducting a 5 days training for District Conflict Management Committees from Senanga, Sioma, and Shangombo Districts at the YWCA Centre.

The training aims to strengthen the capacity of committee members in preventing, managing, and resolving electoral-related conflicts before, during, and after the electoral process.

District Conflict Management Committees play a vital role in promoting peaceful elections by providing a platform for dialogue among stakeholders, addressing disputes amicably, and fostering tolerance and mutual respect among political players and community members.
