Land access and acquisition has been a challenge for many farmers, small and large. The mean land availability among small and medium scale farmers is approximately 3 hectares. On the other hand, farm land around the cities has rapidly been diverted to real estate development. In view of the artificial scarcity of land arising from the hurdles inherent in the customary and statutory land tenure systems covering 94% and 6% of the total land mass respectively, the PF government shall continue and expand the programme of opening up more land for agriculture. Let us here from you with regards to the campaign promises on Land.

The PF Government prior to the 2016 General elections promised in their (2016 to 2021 PF Manifesto) to continue to rehabilitate and upgrade the road network to three star status including feeder roads in all districts to prescribed standards .This is now 2018 what can you say about this campaign promise, is the PF government making progress on this? MAONDO WARD COUNCILLOR SITENGE MAILA APPLAUDES ACTIONAID ZAMBIA'S WORK IN SESHEKE DISTRICT

Its gives me great pleasure to extend to you all, a very warm welcome on behalf of Maondo Ward and indeed on my own behalf and to say how grateful I am to have this meeting today.

Its is an opportune time to interact and discuss issues pertaining development of our area and district at large. Allow me to start by thanking ActionAid Zambia for the wonderful work they are doing in our communities.

ActionAid has empowered us with different skills and knowledge and it is through that, that we have been are able to put service boarders to task.

Lastly thank you for organising this particular meeting that has introduced this amazing platform called the Campaign Tracker Zambia Project and also thank you to all the participants that made it through to the meeting.
