The mandate of AGRITEX is to provide technical and advisory services, farmer training, and market oriented extension for sustainable farming. The department also disseminates agricultural and market-related information, monitors crop and livestock production trends and provides ministry and other stakeholders with regular reports. Promotion of new technology adoption through on-farm trials and dem

onstrations, field days, exchange visits, farmer field schools and technology fairs is another key function of the department. In addition, AGRITEX collates agricultural production information and mobilizes farmers for targeted production.
