Prologue
Love .....what is the meaning of love really ?l have watched almost a thousand romantic movies and read a gazillion novels but still haven't been able to either define or understand it.
I have heard and seen a lot of man and women telling each other "l love you "but end up hurting one her by deceit, secrets and...affairs.I don't think that they know how much weight and value those three magical words hold .
How one feels after they are told "l love you ",even l don't understand because honestly speaking l have never experienced such.Where my heart skips a bit and l feel butterflies in my tummy. That's a foreign feeling for me ,call me stone hearted or a sucker for love but that's just the plain truth.
They say love is blind ,love is the greatest weapon and so forth ,if l could do an interview with only eight candidates. Man and women then l strongly believe none of them will have anything meaningful to tell me about how love has helped them. Half of them are miserable in their relationship and feel enclosed as well as suffocated.
Searching for a tiny hole that they can use as an escape, people put on fake smiles in public. Post couple goals pictures in Social media on a baecation in Fiji or Hawaii ,behind closed door is an obtom of fights and coldness.
I keep on asking myself why people put themselves through such heartbreaking situations, is it because of money or fear for judgement in the society.
The world is rotten and diluted with a backward mindset that can't be changed no matter what, many have tried and failed dismally. Even the greatest gurus of love Bethenny Miller and Nomalanga Khumalo as well as King of hearts have tried but didn't succeed in their missions.
The ideal covergirl for us women is a housewife ,the luxurious lifestyle with the endless lonely trips and using shopping as therapy. We use about a 10 000 bucks per day only for shopping and find it normal.
Our husbands are filthy rich after all and with all the s**t that they put us through we think we deserve a bit of pampering. That's how are minds are set ,we don't focus on the pain that they put us through but the gifts and rewards. I know l sound a bit to blunt and excessive but that's just the plain harsh truth .
Coming to the girlfriend status, girlfriends have gained a new status and name over the years .If you aren't a side chick then you are definitely a sidekick ,you are meant to stand by your man no matter what. Come rain or sunshine you follow his every command and do whatever he deems fit for you.You become the wife without the ring ,madam of his heart .
That's what he tells you and stupidly you believe it with your eyes wide open in broad daylight. He gets you the perfect ,classy Apartment in Hillside and a silver or peach mini cooper to flash. You fall Inlove with the lifestyle that he can afford for you not him but your skeptic heart makes you believe otherwise .
You must be wondering who am l to know so much about relationships and matters of the heart, not that l'm a love guru or anything but l'm a woman like some of you .Unfortunately l have become what l grew up detesting .A Hillside housewife, that spends thousands on shopping and trips to Mauritius and Fiji.
Married to a rich business tycoon that controls my every move ,l'm more of his puppet .The gorgeous trophy wife that won't dare to rebel against
him, its not like he manhandles me or anything like that .
No ,there are man like him that don't have to raise their hand for you to respect them .He has grey intimidating eyes with a shade of night grey with an ugly aura that can weaken an entire room full of people within seconds.
My husband Ndoda Mgcini Dube ,the forever punctual,straight talker and persuasive business tycoon. He is the cover of every magazine and is forever on everyone's lips ,being praised for his charitable work and his kind heart. Obviously l know the kind heart part is crap and all but hey what can l say.
Ndoda is dominant and intimidating, over the past thirteen years that l have been married to him he has been able to instill so much fear in me for him. I have come to worship the ground that he walks on ,he has a backward mindset that women are meant to serve and pleasure men .
He is what you call a self made billionaire that used illicit routes to get where he is ,apart from his big empire that specialises on contraction and house mortgages.
Ndoda is an underground human trafficker, he sells girls and owns brothels.I can't even name some of his illicit business, he didn't directly tell me about them .
Before marrying Ndoda at the age of 20,l was a college student studying criminality.l wanted to become a detective, he wooed me and then fooled me that he would provide and protect me like how the other man do in the series and novels.Like the naive farm girl l was ,l believed him .l mean who wouldn't have believed a smart clean Ndebele man who had gained respect, wealth and popularity at the age of 28.
Overall l was snoopy and one day while looking around his study l came across confidential files that shocked me to the core when l opened them .At that time l was already pregnant with our first child Mhlonishwa ,believe me when l say l literally cried .
l mean l knew that my husband had his flaws but l didn't want to believe that he could go to such extremes for money. I never confronted him him about it till date.For some reason l knew that he knows that l know about his other businesses.
After that encounter l lost the faith and half the love l had for him ,l ended up feeling disgusted with myself when l would bed with him.l knew there and there that l had just wedded a monster in suit .
Before l go any further l will acquaintance myself with you ,my name is Nomandla Amanda Dube. I'm a miserable housewife married to Bulawayo 's wealthiest business tycoon and a mother to two .
My first Mhlonishwa Wayne Dube (13) and Sibongile Amara Dube (10),my life is a vivid(supernatural )side view of how difficult and s**tty most housewives 's lives actually are behind the closed doors.
