MDA Election Update
In ward 24 voting process is already in motion. There was an issue in one of the polling station where our party election agents were not allowed to get in on time because ZEC could not produce their tags so that they could observe the starting process of the elections. They had to be allowed after 8 when the election had already started. That was after approaching the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission officials. So they were denied to view the starting proceedings of the elections which amounts to a violation of our rights as a political institution participating on this process.
We are also concerned with the picture quality of our candidate on the ballot box. Candidates pictures are not visible and it would be very difficult for old people to see their preferred candidates making it difficult for our voters to identify their candidate.
It is common cause from our preliminary report, that the electoral processes were not free, fair and credible leading to this date and we are not certain of an outcome that will reflect the will of the people. We did not agree with the charges of filing nominations, we were not informed about the company that printed ballots on time. Our road show was denied by the Zimbabwe Republic Police amongst the host of problems.
We are however, tactfully and strategically participating. Our participation is well calculated and we are seemingly achieving all we wanted in this process. We urge our people to vote for the movement that has their back and that is Mthwakazi Democratic Alliance, we promise growth and more organization after this process
