WARD 4 CONSULTATIVE MEETING UNDERWAY AT CHEGUTU HALL
Residents are actively engaging Council on key service delivery issues, including payment challenges, water meters, street lighting and sewer services.
Residents were encouraged to make regular monthly payments to reduce outstanding debts, while Council continues to address the challenges affecting service delivery. The meeting also emphasised the importance of purchasing approved water meters to avoid average charges.
On street lighting, residents agreed to trim or remove trees, including mango trees, that obstruct street lights and compromise both effective lighting and community security.
Regarding sewer services, residents acknowledged the significant progress made by Council in the ward, with only the main sewer line serving V1 to V24 remaining to be addressed and expected to be decommissioned soon.
Overall, residents expressed appreciation for the work and improvements being undertaken by the Municipality of Chegutu in Ward 4.
