The aims and objectives of Chitungwiza Progressive Residents Association are to promote and protect the rights and interests of the residents of Chitungwiza and more particularly;

To represent and support residents of Chitungwiza by advocating for effective, transparent and affordable municipal and other services and quality facilities on a professional non-partisan basis. To promote cooperation

between organisations representing residents of Chitungwiza;

To make representations to and liaise with the Chitungwiza City Council, City Councillors, Central Government or any of its ministries, departments or other public institutions concerning matters affecting the residents of Chitungwiza. To promote and encourage public awareness and participation by residents in local governance issues. To associate with other local and international organizations, both public and private, with similar objectives in any way that furthers the interests of the Association

To encourage individuals of competence and credibility to stand for public office. To promote the effective participation of women, youths and other vulnerable groups in residents’ activities and local governance. To do all things necessary to protect and promote the rights and interests of the residents.
